Ponderosa Stables and South Mountain Stables are great staging areas for horse-drawn hay wagon rides, provided with our cookouts or on a stand-alone basis. We have access to a number of routes within South Mountain Park and the immediate area, including a view of the historic Mystery Castle. You'll thrill to the sight and sound of our matched teams of Belgians and Percherons as their powerful stride carries you to your destination. Our seasoned drivers are skilled in handling the team and wagon, and this age-old mode of transportation will take you back to the time when this sight was an everyday occurrence.
Plan your next outing to include a fun and exciting ride on our hay wagons. We can also make arrangements to deliver a wagon, team and driver, on a limited basis, for off-site venues. For off-site requests, be sure to reserve very early in advance to allow ample time to obtain permission and coordinate the route with the appropriate authorities.
