Group Outings
If you're looking for an unusual setting for your next festive occasion, look no further. We specialize in arranging cookouts and rides for groups, of as few as our minimum requirement of 8 attendees to several hundred. We'll help you set up the perfect combination of location, ride and food options to liven up any get-together, routine meeting or annual event. We have access to several scenic cook sites within South Mountain Park, subject to availability, ranging from small to very large, and featuring amenities from primitive to fully equipped. All are accessible by horseback or vehicle, and some by wagon.

In addition to private or company-sponsored events, Ponderosa Stables is a willing partner in assisting with community service programs sponsored at the city, county, state or national level,

- Horseback riding and educational programs that fulfill the requirements for completing the "Horse Lovers" and subsequent badges for several local troops of the Girl Scouts of America. We have the distinction of being one of the few remaining facilities to provide this type of service.
- Assisting the Cities of Phoenix and Glendale, and local school districts in providing recreational opportunities for their programs to benefit under privileged or handicapped children.
- Meeting the special needs of various humanitarian-type organizations by providing low-stress life experiences for handicapped or challenged individuals.
